Version 1.1.2 performs media detection, HLS processing and download task handling locally in the browser. Account, device-linking, membership and strong-download quota requests use the developer-operated TabCove API only when you choose those features. Downloaded files and media content are not uploaded to TabCove.

Data processed locally

When you start a download, the extension may read the current page’s accessible video elements, media URLs, page title and player resources needed to identify the requested media. Settings, temporary task data, local trial records and cached authorization state remain in Chrome storage.

Account and membership data

If you register or link the extension, TabCove processes your account email, session information, device identifier hash, membership status, strong-download quota events and necessary security logs. If you use the referral program, the API also stores your referral code, referral attribution, points balance and points ledger so it can calculate discounts, prevent duplicate rewards and reverse rewards after a refund. The device identifier is sent over HTTPS and stored by the API as a hash. For anonymous quota protection, the API may combine the device identifier with a hash of the request network address; it does not keep the raw address as business data. Password-reset requests use the registered email address and, when enabled, a transactional email provider sends a one-time reset link. The website keeps its temporary account session in the current browser tab's session storage and clears the older persistent session key. Basic direct downloads and HLS/m3u8 processing do not require an account or membership request.

Payment

Alipay hosts checkout for one-time Pro passes. Legacy or alternative subscription checkout may be hosted by Stripe. The extension and TabCove API do not receive or store card numbers, security codes, Alipay passwords or payment credentials. The API stores the minimum order identifiers, amount, status and entitlement dates needed to verify payment, prevent duplicate fulfillment and provide support. Payment status is accepted only after provider signature and order validation.

Network access

Requests to third-party pages are made as part of actions you start. The extension does not export cookies, passwords or browsing history to TabCove. Third-party websites may apply their own privacy and access rules.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell extension data or use it for advertising. The API retains account, session, device, subscription, quota and webhook records only as needed to provide the service, enforce limits, prevent abuse and respond to support or deletion requests. We do not retain downloaded files, page HTML, media URLs or bookmark contents as part of membership processing.

Your choices and rights

You can clear local extension data or uninstall the extension. You may request account access, correction, deletion or cancellation by contacting support. Use the extension only with content you are authorized to access.
